Game 7: Dead Ball - Allen Schatz

Bio:
I was born and raised and went to school through college in the suburbs of Philadelphia before moving west to Washington, PA (south of Pittsburgh). GAME 7: DEAD BALL is my first fiction work. I have a BS in Business Administration and am a 25+ year finance/accounting professional before taking up writing. I am married with two adult children.

Product description:
Game 7: Dead Ball, a mystery/suspense novel set on a baseball canvas. The book has been described as "Dick Francis meets America's Pastime".

Q: What will e-readers like about your book?
It is a fast-paced page-turner that grabs you at the start and keeps you reading through the end. Most definitely NOT a sports story, the plot has something for the genre fan as well as avid baseball fan. Women will enjoy it as much as men.

Q: Why did you go indie?
I originally went the 'traditional' route, getting connected with an agent. He was a once and former industry insider and was able to put the book in front of top level publishing eyes, but after 18 months failed to get past the walls of "no" and "not for us". He released me at the beginning of this year. I'd invested too much into making this my new career and decided to give the book the attention it deserves, even if in tiny baby steps. ePublishing is the new reality and I want to embrace it.

Q: Who are your favorite authors in your genre?
I enjoy Harlen Coben, John Grisham, James Patterson, and a few others. Some of this is evident in my work, as more than one reader has described my style as "Grisham-like".
