Next Move, You're Dead - Linda L. Barton

Product description: Homicide Detective John Cooper has always believed in following the evidence to solve any case, until he starts to receive phone calls claiming to challenge that very evidence. When he realizes there is more to the calls than meets the eye, he reluctantly finds himself caught up in a game that with each move draws him deeper and deeper into a world of which he may never escape.

Q: What will e-readers like about your book? I believe what makes the book enjoyable to read is the fact that it is so different from others in the Mystery/Detective genre.  The theme of the story is making someone believe the unbelievable, no matter what the evidence shows.

Q: Why did you go indie? I tried the traditional route at first, but I was told that I should change my story to fit a "normal" format for mysteries.  I believed in my story, so I decided to publish on my own.  I'm very glad that I held to my beliefs, because the story has been very well received by the readers. It has currently received two 4 Star reviews and the rest are 5 Stars.

Q: Who are your favorite authors in your genre?  Wow, that's a tough question as there are so many good authors writing mysteries.  I haven't read any in the last 3 years since I was writing my book.  I didn't want to be influenced by anyone's style.
