Bio: Michael J. McCann lives and writes in Oxford Station, ON. He's married and has one son. A former editor, he spent 15 years with Canada Customs. Mike is the author of Blood Passage, a Donaghue and Stainer Crime Novel, and The Ghost Man, a supernatural thriller.

Product Description: Experienced criminal investigators Donaghue and Stainer wrestle with their disbelief when a little boy claims that he remembers the men who killed him in his previous life.

What will e-readers like about your book? Fans of police procedurals will enjoy the realistic descriptions of homicide investigation, based on extensive research of criminal investigation techniques and Maryland law. Fans looking for something a little different will be intrigued by the metaphysical questions raised by little Taylor Chan and the idea of past life memories, inspired by the research of Dr. Jim B. Tucker of the University of Virginia and his book Life Before Life: A Scientific Investigation of Children's Memories of Previous Lives (2005).

Why did you go indie? When you can't find an open door the natural impulse is to create your own, so I did. I'm very stoked by the burgeoning e-book universe and the possibilities it holds. Can you believe what's happening here? It's amazing.

Who are your favorite authors in your genre? Lee Child, Georges Simenon (the Maigret series), John Mortimer (the Rumpole series), Ross Macdonald. I have to mention John Grisham, although he is technically in a different genre, because I greatly admire his writing.
